I don't know about you, but the deluge of bad news all the time gets to me. We thought it would be better when the pandemic ended ... but we see how that's going. I stumbled upon a source of uplift I think we all could use: Good News

Another year has passed, and what a wild ride it was. Here's the client news and professional milestones I'd like to remember:
- Community Youth Advance (CYA) was recognized by the Catalogue for Philanthropy
- CYA also was awarded a $72,500 partner grant from Many Hands DC
- The Arc was awarded a Chick-Fil-A True Inspiration award AND a TD Ready Challenge grant!
- HousingForward Virginia launched the Robert Adams Fund for Racially Equitable Housing, surpassing its $25,000 goal.
- City of Refuge Hopewell (a new client) received its first grant from the Cameron Foundation.

The only looking back I want to do is to take note of a milestone: Community Youth Advance's 15th Anniversary. I have been a part of this group for a good deal of these 15 years, and how it has grown! I am proud to have done my part to support the good work that is done. It's Been Too Long (August 2020)
I have been remiss on keeping you updated on what's going on during this crazy, depressing and fatalistic, and yet hopeful time. I'm not one to spill my feelings out on paper (or screen), so I will let one of my clients, Housing Virginia, talk for me on a few points. Will I live to see the change we all want? I certainly hope so. I'll do what I can.
