Karin J. Sheets, Principal

Karin has more than 20 years of fundraising and administrative experience in the nonprofit sector. She started her career in Seattle, working with the Plymouth Housing Group and Sound Generations (formerly Senior Services).  While serving as Development Director for Mentors, Inc.,  in Washington DC, she gained expertise in development strategies, communications, program management and organizational leadership. She further honed those skills while helping a grassroots mentoring organization - Mentoring to Manhood - obtain its first-ever grants, and helped M2M to be recognized as one of the best small nonprofits in the Washington, DC area by the Catalog for Philanthropy.

She has a B.A. from the University of Washington in Political Science and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University.  She is an active member of the Grant Professionals Association.

She is an avid reader, foodie and tennis player.
